  • Teeth Extractions decreased 10% from 13.4% to 12.1% of adults age 65 and older between 2020 and 2022.

Social and Economic Factors

  • Firearm Deaths increased 4% from 13.0 to 13.5 deaths per 100,000 adults age 65 and older between 2017-2019 and 2020-2022.
  • Food Insecurity increased 8% from 11.9% to 12.9% of adults age 60 and older between 2020 and 2021.
  • Poverty increased 16% from 9.4% to 10.9% of adults age 65 and older between 2019 and 2022.
  • High-Speed Internet increased 2% from 83.1% to 84.8% of households with adults age 65 and older between 2021 and 2022.

Physical Environment

  • Housing Cost Burden increased 3% from 32.1% to 33.1% of households with adults age 65 and older between 2021 and 2022.

Clinical Care

  • Geriatric Clinicians increased 4% from 36.4 to 38.0 clinicians per 100,000 adults age 65 and older between 2022 and 2023.
